Highlights of Session:
Small Groups - What number represents a "small group"? For us, that means no more than 10 participants on ice. The City of Kitchener allows 22 on the ice, but with the current climate conditions during this pandemic, we feel it is important to limit the number of participants on ice and keep everyone moving. The more participants are standing around, the more likely they are to congregate. We are trying to minimize this as much as possible.
Small groups also allow us to "coach" and "teach". One of the focal points of these sessions is having access to the coach's time and gaining valuable feedback. Feedback is what is going to provide the opportunity for your child to improve on their skills. Less participants means more feedback for your child.
Each week will have some similar activities to build on the skills from the previous week and will also incorporate different activities and drills to offer something of interest.
Suggested ages 10 - 13 (if you child is outside of this age range, please contact for permission)
Boys & Girls welcome
Health Screening required 2 hours prior to ice time for the participant and the parent/spectator
Description of Session:
These skill-building skates will focus on fundamentals including power skating, puck control and shooting.
Pre-registration will secure your spot and will allow Coach Dave to plan the session based on the skill & development level of the registered participants.
Health & Safety:
We have developed a Return to Ice protocol that minimizes the risk of all participants. All participants are expected to follow the behaviour expectations as specified in the protocol. All registered participants will receive this information for you to review. It is important for everyone to complete the required forms as per Public Health guidelines.
Cost & Commitment:
The cost per session will vary depending on the cost of ice and whether it is prime time ice or non-prime time ice. Payment secures your spot. Payment can be made by etransfer to email@example.com
At this time we can not provide refunds, however, we will allow you to send someone else instead. The other person needs to be properly registered and complete the health screening as required. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 519-590-4780 if you would like to utilize this option.
